The BHD Endowed Scholarship Fund for Teachers
The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to qualified candidates planning to teach in the public school system. Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in the liberal arts, sciences or mathematics and be pursuing a master's degree in education. Up to ten scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded for the 2008-2009 academic year. Scholarship recipients are selected
based on academic achievement and financial
need. To be considered you must meet the following criteria:

must be a permanent resident of Maryland |

have completed an undergraduate degree in the liberal arts, sciences or mathematics |
 |
must take a minimum of six credits per semester in an accredited Master's program of teacher education
in the fall of 2008

must demonstrate financial need.

Application Process: Supporting Documents must be submitted by no later than May 31, 2008 and any postmarked after this deadline will not be considered. Incomplete application packages will not be considered. Early application is encouraged.
Finalists will be contacted by email and may be required to come to an interview with the Scholarship Committee or a member of the CSB staff.
This a competitive program; not all applicants will be selected as recipients. All decisions of Central Scholarship Bureau and the Scholarship Committees are final.
