The Lessans Family Scholarship
This Fund, established by the Lessans Family in 1994 through The
ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, provides scholarship
assistance to Jewish students who attend accredited undergraduate
colleges, universities or vocational schools. Scholarships are awarded
once a year and are based on both need and merit.
Guidelines
Jewish students who meet the following criteria are eligible to
apply for the Lessans Family Scholarships.

have a grade point average of 3.0 or better, based on
a 4.0 grading scale. |

are enrolled as an undergraduate in an accredited college,
university or vocational school (This scholarship is not available
to graduate students.) |
Scholarship Awards
Scholarship awards are based on need and merit. The scholarship
committee determines award amounts. Lessans Family Scholarships
are renewable as long as a student is in school and continues to
meet the prescribed criteria. Applicants must re-apply each year
for an additional scholarship.
Application Process
This a competitive program; not all applicants will be selected as recipients. All decisions of Central Scholarship Bureau and the Scholarship Committees are final.
